With the assistance of our outside partners in education, business, industry, and trade associations, each program includes the academic and technical skills required to be successful in both today’s economy and the economy of the future.

South Bend Career and Tech Education department instills transportable workplace skills in realistic learning contexts to afford opportunities for a student to explore high-demand career options and gives students the technology and skills needed for success in adult life that gets students not only college and career ready, but workforce ready.  Our CTE programs are built around high expectations for student learning. These expectations include the development of strong reading, writing, numeracy, problem-solving, and teamwork skills, in addition to the real-world and actual career skills that inspire students and help them develop a career path for future education and work.

Whether students take one CTE course or enroll in an entire CTE program, CTE is an important part of every student’s well-rounded education, beginning at the Middle School Level. Irrespective of the CTE pathway offered here in South Bend, Indiana; CTE experiences build the transferable skills that lead to success in both college and careers. CTE classes inform our students about how their skills apply to today’s occupations and also provide students with a realistic picture of their future in the world of work.  The South Bend Community School Corporation CTE family is here to support your student and our extended families in order to achieve the highest successes as a result of participating in our programs.
