Marquette, an associate member of the American Montessori Society, offers a learning environment that is designed to provide for the developmental needs of children. Providing opportunities for student's academic, social, and emotional growth, Marquette teaching staff are fully licensed by the State of Indiana. In addition, most staff hold the credentials from the Montessori Accreditation Council of Teacher Education for the level at which they teach. Those who do not hold the Montessori Accreditation are in the process of obtaining it.

Classrooms are multi-age and children remain in the same classroom for three years so relationships with families can be successfully fostered.

Early childhood classrooms serve children age 3-5 (including full-day kindergarten).
Lower Elementary classrooms serve 1st through 3rd-grade children.
Upper Elementary classrooms serve students in 4-6th grade.

Students are Marquette are taught with individualized instruction allowing for children to learn at their own pace through the curriculum. This provides children with the opportunity to explore their own interests in depth. All Montessori classrooms have a full complement of Montessori materials to allow for concrete, hands-on learning opportunities. Conflict resolution skills are taught to children as part of a Peace Curriculum.

Marquette also offers services and programs to parents through "Montessori 101" a parent education series, a parent lending library, school-wide enrichment days, and a very active PTO.

Marquette Montessori....A community of learners forged by the innate possibilities of the child.

Transportation is provided to all students who live outside the walk area for the school.
